I believe that’s a white post or pipe sticking out of the ground.
The picture was taken behind the restrooms at the visitor’s center mid-way around the cove loop road.
You know, you could Photoshop that white stick out of the picture really easily. Just use the clone tool to cover it up with grass……that is if you have Photoshop.
I’m not good at the Photosphop tricks, but the post has been removed.
