FLASH NEWS: The world braces for change as U.S. Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman resigns. Oh yeah, that Powell guy is out as well.
There are rumors that National security adviser Condoleezza Rice may succeed Powell. Hasn’t Rice already done enough damage to this country? Our diplomatic situation is strained as it is. We don’t need to throw more incompetence into that mix.

  1. Besides, we need to hold on to Condi for when a ill Cheney steps aside, right? Then she can run in 2008 and crush Hilary, right?
I’m amused with the left’s hatred of Condi, although it’s not quite Bush-esque or Cheney-esque or Rumsfeld-esque… at least not yet!
Did you hear the rumor that Powell was stepping aside now just to rest up to step in for Cheney?

  2. CJ..the lefts “hatred” of Condi has more to do with her pushing, in certain instances, what she knew at the time was faulty intelligence and her general shilling for war and going to war with very little in the way of help from our allies. I hope your not comparing her to Hilary. The rights “hatred” of Hillary seemed to be that she was independent, and that she dealt with a private matter that was nobody’s business but her own in a manner that they didn’t approve of.
Bush needs to pick a Secretary of State who can make a fresh start with the world for Secretary of State. Someone like a James Baker would be a much better choice.

  3. Loyalty above competence is the Bush Guiding Principle in nominations. Baker is DOA. Bush proved that today in his official nomination of Rice.
