1. Are you kidding? There aren’t enough eggs and bread in the global supply chain for East Tennesseans if that happens.
Also of importance, can Tsunami’s be gay? Cause I need to know if I should be worried. I’ve already looked in scripture. Please advise.

  2. Yes, I kid . . . I think. But I’m sure they put some kind of local spin on the tsunami story.
If gay marriage is allowed in Sri Lanka, that would explain a lot of things.

  3. I understand this news piece has been postponed. The local media are too busy at the moment canonizing a very religious ex-football player whose zeal also included a bit of good old southern bigotry. Remember his solution to the “homasexual” problem?
“Maybe we can run the tsunami piece later if we have time – between the fourteenth and fifteenth car commercials.”

  4. A local newscast quoted somebody as saying that “God needed him more than we did”. Well, God needs him a lot more than some of us did.

  5. Well, what can I say, God has him now, he is no longer a bother to us. I just wonder if he is heaven or hell bound for violating Jesus’ Love thy neighbor as thyself rule?
But seriously, has anyone realized that God promised Noah that he would not kill the unworthy by water, and somehow decided that that covenant was now void, and thus tsunamis are now acceptable means of killing humans once again?
God: Killing 50,000? Nothing. Why I’ve killed millions for no other reason than their being non-Jewish! Of course, the reason I allowed millions of Jews to die at the hands of the Nazis was so that today’s neoconservatives could have a reason to go to war in Iraq….
When will anyone call this tragedy a tragedy, and work to help those people? Instead of writing in religious nonsense as hard core fact….
