AN Iraqi has died of his wounds after US troops beat him with truncheons because he refused to remove a picture of wanted Shiite Muslim leader Moqtada Sadr from his car, police said today.
The motorist was stopped late yesterday by US troops conducting search operations on a street in the centre of the central city of Kut, Lieutenant Mohamad Abdel Abbas said.
After the man refused to remove Sadr’s picture from his car, the soldiers forced him out of the vehicle and started beating him with truncheons, he said.
Yep… I believe him… our soldiers must be guilty.
Are you suggesting the victim had himself beaten up, like the villian did in “Dirty Harry”? (I think it was “Dirty Harry”; in one of the Clint Eastwood/Harry Callahan movies the villian pays a thug to beat him up so that the villian can claim he was brutalized by Callahan.)
I am sorry CJ, but it is documented fact that Americans commit crimes. I think you may have heard of a few, if you think that no criminal may his way into the military to either work off their anger, or went in as a disciplinary action, you must be living in OZ. To say no American Soldier is capable of crimes is the same as saying no American Citizen is capable of crimes, and since the FBI exists, I am sorry, but you are dreaming.
