I think you missed the point (albeit not stated) that it is one thing to mourn a president, but to try to garner political gain from it is hollow at best. More than half of the Bush campaign’s public statements regarding Kerry (and Dem’s in general) attack them for “politicizing” things like Iraq, and other issues that — in their view — should not be politicized.
This makes them into the perverbial, “Pot calling the kettle black.” It is sheer unadulterated duplicitiousness.
