Well, it appears the Social Security Administration is in the midst of starting anew.<br \/>\nOld resolution: manage Social Security<br \/>\nNew resolution: <a title=\"Social Security Enlisted to Push Its Own Revision\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2005\/01\/16\/politics\/16benefit.html?ex=1263531600&#038;en=f330c326dbefd633&#038;ei=5090&#038;partner=rssuserland\">Push President Bush&#8217;s political agenda<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Over the objections of many of its own employees, the Social Security Administration is gearing up for a major effort to publicize the financial problems of Social Security and to convince the public that private accounts are needed as part of any solution.<br \/>\nThe agency&#8217;s plans are set forth in internal documents, including a &#8220;tactical plan&#8221; for communications and marketing of the idea that Social Security faces dire financial problems requiring immediate action.<br \/>\nSocial Security officials say the agency is carrying out its mission to educate the public, including more than 47 million beneficiaries, and to support President Bush&#8217;s agenda.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Better gear up folks.  The Bush administration is pulling all the stops.
