But consider this:<br \/>\n<blockquote><p>Despite rising worries about commodity prices, the GDP price index, the broadest measure of price changes in the economy, rose just 0.8% annualized, matching a nine-year low. Inflation hasn&#8217;t been lower since John F. Kennedy&#8217;s administration.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>  <a href=\"http:\/\/bonddad.blogspot.com\/2007\/10\/quick-notes-on-gdp.html\">Bonddad says<\/a> the report should raise eyebrows because deflators are usually over 2%.<\/li>\n<li>Macro and Other Market Musings notes the <a href=\"http:\/\/macromarketmusings.blogspot.com\/2007\/10\/regional-economic-activity-in-usa.html\">regional differences in United States economic growth<\/a>.  The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.philadelphiafed.org\/econ\/indexes\/coincident\/\">Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia<\/a> has a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.philadelphiafed.org\/econ\/indexes\/coincident\/2007\/Coincident-200709.pdf\">U.S. map<\/a> showing the latest monthly coincident index for each state.  In September Tennessee had between 0.1% and 0.5% growth.<\/li>\n<li>The Big Picture has a map showing <a href=\"http:\/\/bigpicture.typepad.com\/comments\/2007\/10\/loan-performanc.html\">state by state mortgage loan performance<\/a>.
