Ron Forster, who shares with White a district that includes sections of north Whitfield and Murray counties, said he is &#8220;absolutely&#8221; in favor of passing a law saying local governments may display the commandments.<br \/>\n&#8220;The Constitution only says the government shall not sponsor a religion,&#8221; Forster, R-Ringgold, said.<br \/>\nAsked about opponents&#8217; argument that atheists or those who practice other religions feel they will be discriminated against when they see the commandments in government buildings, he said it &#8220;carries no weight.&#8221;<br \/>\nIf a judge or public official doesn&#8217;t believe in God, &#8220;then that person is more likely to be corrupt,&#8221; Forster said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes indeed&#8211;the corrupt ungodly.  Here In Tennessee we already tried to take care of that.  Hence, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.state.tn.us\/sos\/bluebook\/online\/section5\/tnconst.pdf\">Art. IX, Sec. 2 of the Constitution<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>No person who denies the being of God, or a future state of rewards and punishments, shall hold any office in the civil department of this state.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Just ignore Art.
