Once upon a time the Democrats were the big spenders and the Republicans complained about it.  Now that they control the federal government, Republicans have increased spending faster than the Democrats ever did, while the Democrats campaign of deficits.<br \/>\nLikewise, when they were the minority in Congress, the Republicans championed state&#8217;s rights, while the Democrats operated on the federal level.
