To: United States Congress
From: Dick Cheney President George W. Bush
Date: 13 May 2004
RE: Funding Request
Members of Congress:
Please help me win our crusade against the evildoers by appropriating another $25 billion according to the detailed schedule below:
$14 billion supporting our troops +
$11 billion bringing freedom to the Iraqi people
————
$25 billion
Thanks.
George W. Bush
P.S. May God continue to bless America.

  1. Greetings,
You know your cynicism bleeds through almost as much as mine does (actaully I am being arrogant there).. But to be serious this Administration is really just that arrogant. They think nothing more than asking for money that requires no accounting for, than they do for blaming all ills of this country on Bill Clinton….

  2. I watched a few minutes from the Senate hearing yesterday, and the administration’s position was basically, “Give us a blank check for $25 billion and trust us to do what’s right.”
We’ve all seen how much of a mistake that approach has been toward Iraq.

  3. Good one! First time I’ve smiled all day. skb sent me.

  4. What is with you people? Don’t you see that God’s Chosen Leader is fighting a crusade against the terrorists in Iraq so that we may all be free to worship him? In a real democracy, you are supposed to do what your President says without asking questions (unless he is a commie liberal like that Cill Blinton guy).
I am fighting the terror on my keyboard, and I support anything that God’s Chosen Leader asks us to do. So we must give him that blank check and trust him to write $25 million for our troops on it. If we don’t, then John Kerry and the anti-American gay liberal Canadian communist terror group trying to destroy civilization as we know it wins!

  5. You know this memo didn’t come from GWB because the addition’s correct.

  6. McCain was absolutely bewildered when they had the hearing on C-SPAN. it was hilarious.
