Once our arm chair document experts conclude their investigation into the 60 Minutes piece, it would be interesting to see them turn their investigative sights on other questioned documents. Since it only took them a couple days to determine that the 60 Minutes memos came from the Kerry campaign, I’m sure it will take them no time to determine where these documents originated.
Since everyone knows they’re forged, and the WH isn’t fighting that, what’s the point? The story doesn’t change. British Intelligence stand by their claims that Iraq was seeking nuclear materials from Nigeria, and much of the world accepts that.
CBS News, and many lefty bloggers, on the other hand, still don’t want to accept they were duped. The story was too good to be true, but they didn’t give them any pause. They all ran with the story, just hoping no one would notice. It’s sad, really.
