Free Credit Reports

Starting today, Tennesseans and those living in ten other Southern states can obtain a free copy of their credit report.
Visit here.
Note:

While the credit report itself is free, the law doesn’t grant consumers free access to their credit score, an important numerical measurement used by lenders and others to assess a consumer’s creditworthiness. That costs a fee of $5 to $10, depending on the reporting agency that’s used.

Checking your credit report is one way to also make sure your identity hasn’t been stolen.
